Abstract
A leading US bank faced unprecedented challenges during the 2020 Paycheck Protection Program rollout, needing to process and approve high volumes of emergency loans under extreme time constraints. Manual tracking and post-approval updates in Excel created significant risks of errors and compliance breaches. With thousands of loans requiring rapid, accurate entry into the Core Banking System, the Bank confronted operational bottlenecks that threatened both efficiency and regulatory compliance.
