Abstract
A Federal Home Loan Bank, serving diverse member institutions across the US West Coast, faced urgent operational and regulatory pressures due to its legacy Prepayment Fee Engine, built on unsupported VB6 technology. Fragmented calculations, critical bugs, and security vulnerabilities risked financial losses and compliance breaches. Inefficient processes and limited visibility further hampered auditing and user productivity. The Bank required a modernized, centralized solution to ensure accurate prepayment fee calculations, strengthen regulatory compliance, reduce operational risks, and provide scalability for future business needs—transforming a critical financial application into a reliable, efficient, and secure system.
